Tina Jane Clark, who lived in Sir Thomas Whites Road, Coundon and worked as a civil servant in the city, has written the children’s book called The Fairy Ring.

The book, which Tina describes as “not just a normal fairy story,” follows the adventures of Adelaide Ivy, Trixi-Bluebell, Lily Rose and Mary Fleur who are cadets at Fairy Flying School in the United Wingdom.

The 43-year-old author, who now lives in Turvey, Bedfordshire, said: “The inspiration for my book was a neighbour’s daughter who asked me to make up a story one evening and it grew from there.

The book is available to buy online at www.authorsonline.co.uk and www.amazon.co.uk
