An 80-year-old man and his dog have been rescued from a house fire in Coventry.
West Midlands Fire Service was called to a kitchen fire in a two-storey mid-terrace house in Rollason Road, Radford, at 0010 GMT.
Two firefighters using breathing apparatus went into the property and led the occupant and his dog to safety.
The pair were treated for the effects of breathing in smoke and about 5% damage was caused to the house.
