Parts of Coventry ring road to close for vital repairs

Sections of Coventry’s ring road will shut for five consecutive days later this month for repairs and maintenance.



But motorists have been assured the closures, which start on Sunday January 30, will only happen at off-peak times..

Coventry City Council says the work on the 50-year-old circular is “essential” and involves resurfacing, line painting, weeding and cleaning.

Coun Lindsley Harvard (Lab, Longford), cabinet member for city services, said: “I hope people will bear with us while this work is underway.

“The ring road is a fantastic asset for our city, but we do need to get in and do essential and routine maintenance.
