Oh, posh!
BBC-only I presume as ITV didn't start in this area until a year later?

Posh?
what with 7 kids plus 2 adults living in a two bed house in Telfer Rd Radford nope my mum was clever with money and my dad and mum both worked we were the first to have a car too a black one that had runner boards then Humber Hawk.
I recall next door having a walnut cabinet tv which was down to the floor with a tiny pink screne.
Which ever channel Watch with Mother was on when I was two years old before I went to nursery at 3. Then no tv on until night time the test card came up after Watch with Mother finished.

I wish I could remember the first TV I ever watched? It was a BBC-only set but had a blue tint so wasn't a Pye.

This is the same as the first TV we had...
I suspect it was a Murphy. I think my mum still has the table somewhere!

Murphy V310 (1957). The table didn't come with the TV although Murphy did make a couple of floor-standing versions of the same set.
