I watched a rerun of the entire series on Betamax in 1988 
It held-up remarkably well for its age. It had some great guest stars in it such as Gabrielle Drake, George Sewell, Wanda Ventham and Peter Gordeno.
It's a shame it was never given a proper ending
If I remember correctly Straker's deputy commented after the final battle "Well, we've beaten them" to which Straker replied: "Yes, this time."
