My own TV repair experience comes from the early 80s.
Of course it'll fit; you just need a bigger hammer.

I used it as a paying hobby.
A mate and myself would buy up bulk amounts of the same TV set, identify common problems, rectify them, then sell them on. It was quite lucrative, not to mention kept me out of the way of the wife.
