:D silver paper out of fag packet s did the same trick to get a dead fuse to work.

Aren't Live and Neutral also reversed?

The green goes at the top for earth the blue should be to the left nutural and brown goes to the fuse it use to be red but they changed it to brown. Years ago I could nt afford plugs only had one on my iron could nt afford a TV either so did nt need a plug for that . So for my hair dryer chip pan etc I use to plug just the wires in the wall plug :lol: and still would if I did nt have a plug for some thing. My mums iron plugged into the light bulb with an adapter.
