Green food colouring can be quite amusing.

We had one guy regularly leave his freshly bought eggs in the fridge the afternoon after he bought them. We bought half a dozen, hard-boiled them and then swapped them with his fresh ones next time he left them in the fridge. Apparently, his wife wasn't amused when she went to make a cake.
