The Blue Screen of Death!

It happened twice to me. Once when I was teaching at University of Birmingham and once teaching in Edinburgh.

The Birmingham issue was easy to get over, I had my files on a memory stick and borrowed another computer.

Edinburgh was far more difficult. The company I was working for didn't believe in carrying back-up files! They changed their mind after this.
