Capcom has confirmed that the PC version of Super Street Fighter IV was cancelled due to concerns about piracy.

In an interview with 4Gamers (via Andriasang), the game's producer Yoshinori Ono said that the original Street Fighter IV sold very well on PC, but it was also "number one in piracy".

Super Street Fighter IV, which features new characters, stages and modes, has so far not been released on PC, despite coming out on consoles in April.

Ono said that releasing a PC version of the game would essentially involve giving it away for "free" in some cases, which would damage the Street Fighter brand.

However, he revealed that Capcom would consider a PC release should better content protection become available on the platform.

Talk about cutting off your own nose to spite your face. In order to prevent the loss of some sales of the PC version they are sacrificing the profits of all sales of the PC version! :clown: :clown:
