Gaming charts: Rage 2 topples Days Gone

Despite performing worse than the original when it comes to physical sales, the explosive sequel has ended Days Gone's streak at the top
Bend Studio's PS4-exclusive Days Gone has been sitting pretty at the top spot of the UK physical game charts for a while now, but this past week Avalanche Studios and id Software's explosive Rage 2 made enough of an impact to dethrone it and claim the top spot for itself, as reported by GamesIndustry.biz.
This is higher than the first game achieved, but in fact Rage 2 has fallen short of the original when it comes to physical sales, getting a quarter of the first's sales back in 2011. Of course digital is far more popular now, but it's still remarkably less than the first.
57% of the sales came on PS4, with those on Xbox One making up 38% and PC accounting for 5% (again, this is an area where physical sales will be much less than digital).
Asobo Studio's A Plague Tale: Innocence has managed to land at number nine as well, with Sniper Elite V2 Remastered coming in at number 13, 100 units away from the tenth position.
Days Gone has a 38% dip in sales to hit number two, with Mortal Kombat 11 also falling to number four from two due to a decrease of 47%.
