Crash Bandicoot returns to top the gaming charts

Ubisoft's online racer has to settle for silver

Crash Bandicoot is back once again, and this week the remastered marsupial has gone back to the top of the charts with strong sales across new versions of the Nsane Trilogy on Nintendo Switch and Xbox One (apparently there were only 250 copies between them, with Xbox edging it).

That means that last week's big release, The Crew 2, has had to settle for second place, with the sequel failing to match its predecessor in terms of sales (although GfK doesn't take digital sales into account in its charts, so it's not fully illustrative).

Elsewhere FIFA 18 is still doing the business, no points for guessing how and why. Mario Tennis Aces moves down to no.4 after a 53% week-on-week drop in sales (still, that's not too shabby for second-week sales for a platform exclusive such as this), and Star Wars Battlefront II proves that the Force is still strong with EA's game thanks to a disturbance in the game's pricing.

Here's the GfK Chart-Track top ten in full:

1. Crash Bandicoot: Nsane Trilogy / Activision
2. The Crew 2 / Ubisoft
3. FIFA 18 / EA Sports
4. Mario Tennis Aces / Nintendo
5. God of War / Sony
6. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe / Nintendo
7. Star Wars Battlefront II / EA
8. Grand Theft Auto V / Take-Two
9. Fallout 4 / Bethesda
10. Far Cry 5 / Ubisoft
