Mass Effect: Andromeda stays number one

The latest Kingdom Hearts compilation lands in fourth spot



Bioware's Mass Effect: Andromeda managed to secure its second straight week at number one in the UK retail charts, an accomplishment only Mass Effect 2 achieved previously in the series. With no real major new releases, Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix was the best new entry managing a respectable fourth in the all formats chart. In fact, this was the 11th (and we're still waiting for Kingdom Hearts III) retail release for the franchise in the UK. The original Kingdom Hearts on PS2 still holds the best opening week in franchise history.

It should be noted that as evident by the positions in the all formats and individual formats chart with Lego Worlds achieving third spot in spite of just being 8th and 9th in the individual chart, things were very tightly contested this week. Single format blockbusters Horizon and Breath of the Wild each fall two places, but are showing strong legs and maintain their status as this year's most buys on their respectable platforms which should make for continued strong sales (particularly for Zelda as more and more people buy Switch).

Further down the charts, Destiny: The Collection re-entered the charts at number 24, presumably on the back of the Destiny 2 reveal.
