Star Wars: Battlefront tops the all-format gaming chart

Tue Nov 24, 2015 2:47 pm

Another week, another brand new all-format number one - this time in the form of Star Wars: Battlefront.

Turns out it's the biggest ever launch for a Star Wars game, more than doubling week one sales of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

It's also the fourth biggest launch of the year behind the likes of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Fallout 4 - which this week chart at second and third. Nearly 60% of Battlefront sales were made on PS4, compared to 39% for Xbox One and 2% for PC.

FIFA 16 dropped to fourth, despite a 14% increase in sales. It charts above Rise of the Tomb Raider, LEGO Dimensions and Assassin's Creed Syndicate.

Minecraft Story Mode, WWE 2K16 and Need for Speed also appeared in the top ten.
