The LEGO Movie Videogame tops all-formats chart

The LEGO Movie Videogame has debuted at the top of the all-format chart.

The new multi-platform release sold 15,000 more copies than a price-promoted Call of Duty: Ghosts in second position.

New entry Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII was in third, followed by last week's number one FIFA 14.

Elsewhere, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and Grand Theft Auto 5 saw sales boosts due to price promotions.

Meanwhile, one eighth of all top 40 chart games are LEGO branded, with LEGO Batman 2 in 19th and LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Lord of the Rings outside the top 20.
