Dizzy: Prince of the Yolkfolk would be easy to release on other systems, its project lead has revealed.

Paul Ranson, who oversaw development on both the 1991 original and upcoming mobile port, said that it has the technology to "easily" release it on other platforms.

He said that a PC version is already finished and that it could be ported to PS3 and PSP, suggesting a potential PS Minis release.

"My company has made technology called 'Slam' which allows us to port games between platforms instantly, so frankly I have a PC version sat on the computer at home, and we could easily manufacture that on PS3, PSP, [and] we've got a DS player," he told Digital Spy.

"So if the business motivations are there, then yes, we could certainly see Dizzy returning to more platforms."

Xbox Live Arcade is less likely due to the "commerical issues" involved, with Microsoft only making a certain number of release slots available per year so as not to "overwhelm the system".

It was recently revealed that a Dizzy fansite helped the franchise's comeback.

Dizzy: Prince of the Yolkfolk will be available on iPhone, iPad and Android on December 9.
