'Max Payne 3' special edition announced

Max Payne 3 will receive a special edition release next year, Rockstar has announced.



The special edition will include a copy of the game, a 10" tall Max Payne statue, a selection of original art prints inspired by the game, a bullet-shaped keychain, the game's official soundtrack, and downloadable content for use in the game's multiplayer modes.

The downloadable content features the Classic Multiplayer Character Pack and the Disorderly Conduct Multiplayer Weapons Pack.

The character pack will unlock multiplayer skins for Max Payne as he appeared in both the original Max Payne and Max Payne 2, as well as skins for Mona Sax and Vladimir Lem.

The weapons pack will unlock the Hammerhead Auto Shotgun, G9 Grenade Launcher and Molotov cocktail.

The Max Payne 3 special edition is a limited time offer, available to those who pre-order the game between November 21 and January 15.

Max Payne 3 will release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC in March 2012.
