'Torchlight' sells over one million copies

Torchlight has sold over one million copies worldwide, Runic Games has announced.



The landmark figure was reached this week following discounts on Xbox Live's Deal of the Week and the Steam Summer Sale.

"We're very excited to share Torchlight's success with our fans and supporters," said president Travis Baldree.

"It's been a great ride so far and we can't wait to give everyone more of what they want in Torchlight II. It isn't every day you sell a million games. We're grateful to be here."

Torchlight first debuted on PC in October 2009, and was given an Xbox Live Arcade version earlier this year.

Torchlight II will be released this summer, and adds new characters classes, overworld maps and co-operative multiplayer.
