Star Wars: The Old Republic has been given a release date by BioWare.
The massively-multiplayer PC title will be available from December 20 in North America and December 22 across Europe.
Every copy will come with 30 days free play time, with a month's subscription costing £8.99 / $14.99 per month, and discounted fees for bulk purchases.
The news was unveiled by BioWare founders Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk at Eurogamer Expo 2011.
Star Wars: The Old Republic has broken pre-order records for publisher Electronic Arts, which has warned that launch copies will be limited.
BioWare has boasted that the online game, which features fully-voiced non-playable characters, will last for decades.
