Destiny: The Taken King has topped the all-format gaming chart ahead of Forza Motorsport 6 and PES 2016.
Selling 57% on PS4, compared to 34% on Xbox One, 7% on Xbox 360 and 2% on PS3, it's Activision's first number one since last year's Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
However, despite the chart success, launch sales of The Taken King represent only 16% of the original's debut.
It's followed by the aforementioned Forza 6 and PES 2016 in second and third, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain at four and Mad Max at five.
Super Mario Maker, GTA 5, Disney Infinity 3.0, Rugby League Live 3 and LEGO Jurassic World also appear in the top 10.
Call of Duty: Ghosts makes a surprise appearance at 14, followed by NHL 16 at 15.
