Age of Empires 2 HD: The Forgotten will launch on Steam next month.
The title, which began life as a fan-created mod, is the first expansion pack to be released for the sequel in ten years.
The Forgotten is based around five "forgotten" civilisations and their technologies, with the Italians, Indians, Slavs, Magyars and Incas available for selection.
Other new features include new maps, four additional campaigns, improved computer AI, and Twitch TV integration for broadcasting play sessions.
Age of Empires 2: The Age of Kings was originally released for PC and Mac in 1999 before arriving on PlayStation 2 several years later. The HD edition debuted on Steam in April.
Age of Empires 2 HD: The Forgotten will be available to download from Steam on November 7.
There's nothing in Age of Empires 2 HD that can't already be downloaded as an unofficial add-on to the original game. The official release is also notoriously glitchy.
