SimCity has overcome countless launch problems to become the brand new PC number one.
Despite a troubled launch plagued by server issues and game crashes, SimCity debuts ahead of fellow new releases Tomb Raider and The Sims 3: University Life.
Elsewhere, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim re-enters the chart at six, between The Sims 3 and Guild Wars 2.
