Brian May's anti-badger cull single has climbed into the iTunes download chart.

'Save the Badger Badger Badger' has reached as high as number 39 at the time of writing (August 30).

A collaboration with Weebl - the group behind the original 'Badger Badger Badger' meme - teamed up with the Queen guitarist for the short track.

Inspired by Queen's Flash Gordon soundtrack, Brian Blessed also features saying: "Keep the badgers alive!"

The track was featured on Adam Hills's Channel 4 show The Last Leg on Wednesday.

Brian May has been a vocal supporter of stopping the badger cull, which was introduced to combat the spread of bovine tuberculosis (TB). The law came into effect today in June in West Gloucestershire and West Somerset.
