Katy Perry: 'Brand is a great man of God'

Katy Perry has praised her new husband Russell Brand as a "man of God".



The popstar made the comment about Brand, whom she married late last month, in an interview with Harper's Bazaar.

She said: "I always knew I wanted a great man of God, someone who was going to be an inspiration for people and also be a lovely husband and father."

Perry admitted that she and Brand are at a different place in their lives, but "we can still grow together".

The hitmaker added: "He's thought-provoking, articulate, a real advocate. I also definitely wanted to have a laugh. I have all that in him."
