The rapper’s seventh studio album, , fought off competition from the Scissor Sisters to remain at No. 1, after storming straight to the top spot upon its release last week.

Night Work, the long-awaited comeback album from the Scissor Sisters, wasn’t quite able to match the success of their two previous chart-topping efforts, 2004’s self-titled album and 2006’s Ta-Dah, arriving at number two. It was, however, this week’s highest new entry.

Meanwhile, Alicia Keys and Plan B continued to stick together as their albums The Element Of Freedom and The Defamation Of Strickland Banks climbed from six and seven to third and fourth respectively.

Just as his collaboration with Kelly Rowland, ‘Commander’, squeezed its way into the top ten in this week’s singles chart, David Guetta’s One Love advances from 13 to ten, having previously peaked at two earlier this year.

The recent Glastonbury festival has shaken up the chart outside of the top ten, with headline act Gorillaz climbing from 24 to 12 with Plastic Beach, while Stevie Wonder and Muse return to the top 40 after their performances at the festival.

Wonder’s Definitive Collection advances 41 places from 57 to 16 and Muse’s The Resistance, originally released last September, makes a massive leap of 49 places from 62 to 13.

The top ten albums in full:
1. (1) Eminem: ‘Recovery’
2. (-) Scissor Sisters: ‘Night Work’
3. (6) Alicia Keys: 'The Element Of Freedom'
4. (7) Plan B: 'The Defamation Of Strickland Banks'

6. (3) Black Eyed Peas: 'The E.N.D.'
7. (5) Lady GaGa: 'The Fame Monster'
