The 1980s gig on June 16 was also set to star Roland Gift - Fine Young Cannibals, Blow Monkeys and Alexander O'NealA 1980s concert at Coventry's Ricoh Arena featuring Billy Ocean and Five Star has been cancelled, the venue has announced.
The concert on Saturday, June 16, was also set to star Roland Gift - Fine Young Cannibals, Blow Monkeys and Alexander O'Neal.
The reason for the cancellation has not been released, although the Ricoh said the organisers were due to reschedule the event for a new date at a new venue.
A spokesperson at the Ricoh Arena said: “The promoter of the 80s LIVE show due to be staged at the Ericsson Indoor Arena in June, has made the difficult decision to reschedule the show to a new venue and on a new date.
“This decision is due to circumstances beyond our control and we would like to offer our sincere apologies.
“We have emailed all purchasers advising them of their options.
“Any queries relating to this should be directed to One Music Management on 0121 745 7733.”
CoventryLive has contacted the promoters One Music Management for a comment.
The announcement comes just weeks after a Ronan Keating and Gabrielle gig at the Ricoh was also cancelled.
Both are now set to perform at the Godiva Festival in August and September.
