Oasis best-of shoots to album No. 1

Oasis have scored the UK album chart's 900th number one this week with their Time Flies... singles collection LP.

The band, who split up last year, were given their eighth album triumph in their illustrious career, selling almost four times as many copies as Glee's Journey To Regionals, which was also a new entry in second place.

Michael Bublé's Crazy Love stayed put in third place, its fourth week in the top ten since the singer's Audience With... show. Glenn Miller's Best Of album and RAF Squadronaires's tribute both rose to fourth and fifth spot respectively.

Alicia Keys was down four to number six with The Element Of Freedom, just edging out Billy Joel's greatest hits LP, which jumped eight spots to seventh. Lady GaGa's The Fame Monster followed in eighth, now in its 75th week in the top 40.

Elsewhere, Plan B found himself back in the top ten with The Defamation Of Strickland Banks, as did Mumford & Sons who were up three to tenth place.

Last week's chart-topper, Christina Aguilera's Bionic, plummeted to number 28. Meanwhile, Crowded House's new LP Intriguer failed to make an impact at 12.

Glee's The Music, Vol. 3 - Showstoppers went from fourth to 13, and Jack Johnson's To The Sea slid to 14 from number six. Pendulum's Immersion also left the top ten, from ninth place to 24. Pixie Lott's Turn It Up also ended her brief return to the top ten, sinking to 23.
