Gabrielle will join Ronan Keating at Coventry’s Ricoh Arena.

The show will take place in the Ericsson Indoor Arena at The Ricoh Arena as part of a Coventry Live celebration of live music programme.

Ronan Keating gained worldwide attention when his single When You Say Nothing At All was featured in the film Notting Hill and peaked at number one in several countries.

As a solo artist, he has recorded nine albums since 1999 and sold more than 20 million records worldwide alongside the 25 million records with Boyzone.

He will perform on the same bill as Gabrielle on March 30.

Gabrielle is a multi-platinum selling and two-time winner at the BRIT Awards, best known for her singles ‘Rise’, ‘Out of Reach’ and ‘Dreams’, the latter being her debut single which topped the UK Charts in 1993.

Currently recording a brand new album, which will be her first studio album in over 10 years, the Coventry gig gives local music lovers a great opportunity to see two great live performers on the same bill.

Lee House, Events Manager at Coventry City Council, said: “We’re really excited that Gabrielle is coming to perform in the city. Both Gabrielle and Ronan will put on fantastic performances at the Ricoh Arena. The tickets are on sale now so whether you’re after a Mother’s Day gift, attending with friends or treating yourself, be sure to hurry so you don’t miss out!”

Nick Eastwood, chief executive at the Ricoh Arena, added: “We’re looking forward to hosting two of the most celebrated names of the 90s era.

“As a venue we are committed to bringing a variety of top music artists to the city, and having Gabrielle and Ronan Keating performing is a fitting way to kick off what is set to be a busy year of music at the Ricoh Arena.”

Tickets cost £35 plus booking fee and are available now from eticketing.co.uk/ricoharena

Ronan Keating to headline Godiva Festival as Coventry Ricoh Arena concerts cancelled

COVENTRY Live concerts at the Ricoh Arena – including performances from Ronan Keating, Gabrielle and Jonas Blue – have been cancelled.

Promoters say all those who bought tickets to the events will be given a full refund including the booking fee.

Instead, Ronan Keating will be the headline at this year’s Godiva Festival on Sunday September 2.

This year’s Godiva Festival will take place in the War Memorial Park from August 31 to September 2.

The move means the acclaimed Irish singer will no longer play at the Ricoh on Friday March 30.

People who purchased tickets online will have their accounts automatically credited.

While those who paid cash in person at the Ricoh will need to go directly to the venue.

Promoters added talks are underway to reschedule performances by Gabrielle – who was set to support Ronan Keating – and Jonas Blue.

People who have already booked tickets for Jonas Blue will also receive a full refund.

Both concerts formed part of the Coventry Live programme and were due to take place at The Ricoh Arena over the Easter weekend.

Coventry City Council’s event manager, Lee House said: “Obviously we are very disappointed to have to cancel the original dates for Ronan and Jonas as we appreciate those who had purchased tickets would have been excited to attend the concerts.

“However, in the wake of so many major music events planned for this year, we have taken the decision to move Ronan Keating to the Godiva Festival to ensure the maximum amount of people could enjoy them and raise the bar at the first Godiva Festival following the announcement of being UK City of Culture.

“We continue our bold ambition to work with a number of partners delivering a great programme of live music for the city.

“We feel Ronan will be an excellent addition to the Godiva bill and I’m sure the fact that it’s free will be a great incentive for many people to come along to the festival.

“We also wanted to give ticketholders as much notice as possible of the cancellation so they could make alternative plans.

“All ticketholders will be get a full refund including their booking fee, and once again, we’d like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by the changes.”
