Pete Waterman’s Locarno Nights remembers Xmas and New Year

Two-hour show on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire will go out on Sunday



Legendary pop producer and Cov Kid Pete Waterman is joining BBC Coventry & Warwickshire to present Pete Waterman’s Locarno Nights.

In two hours Pete will play some of the music that he played when he used to DJ at the Locarno Ballroom in Coventry city centre.

Pete also talks about memories of growing up in Coventry and his memories of Christmas and New Year at the Locarno.

BBC Coventry & Warwickshire Editor Andrew Bowman said: “I’m thrilled that Pete is joining the station – it’s a show that anyone who remembers the Locarno will love.”

The show goes out on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire at noon on Sunday – with a repeat on New Years Eve at 9pm.
