Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea have made chart history today (July 6), as their collaboration 'Problem' became the first UK Number 1 single based on both sales and streaming combined.

As of this week, the Official Singles Chart now includes audio streaming data from services including Spotify, Deezer, Napster and Xbox Music alongside physical and digital sales data.

100 streams are equivalent to one single purchase. On average, the streaming contribution to this week's Top 40 singles was just over 20%.

'Problem' achieved a combined figure of 113,000, which had a streaming contribution of 6%.

Grande's manager, Scooter Braun, said: "Landing her first Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart is an incredible achievement and another benchmark in the continued global success of 'Problem'.

"Thanks to the loyal UK fans whose incredible support has made this possible. This is your Number 1 too."

Azalea also made chart history in the US this week, as 'Fancy' became the longest-leading number one by a female rapper on the Hot 100.

Ella Henderson holds on to the Number 2 spot with her debut single 'Ghost', which has been streamed over a million times in the last seven days.

George Ezra rises two places to Number 3 with his single 'Budapest', while Ed Sheeran's 'Sing' drops one place to Number 4. 'Sing' is the most streamed track of the week, having racked up 1.32 million plays on audio streaming services. All 12 tracks from Sheeran's new album, X, appear on today's Official Singles Chart Top 100.

This week's Top 5 is completed by Oliver Heldens and Becky Hill's former chart-topper, 'Gecko (Overdrive)'.

Also in this week's singles chart, Sia claims her first Top 10 solo hit in nearly 14 years with 'Chandelier', while DJ Fresh achieves his sixth Top 10 hit with 'Make U Bounce', featuring TC and Little Nikki.

German folk pop duo Milky Chance jump 15 places to Number 32, making their Top 40 debut with 'Stolen Dance'.

The Vamps also enter the singles chart with the album version of their new single, 'Somebody To You', which has climbed three places to Number 39.
