OneRepublic have reclaimed the UK number one single with 'Counting Stars'.

The US band climbed back two spots to top this week's chart, having previously risen to the number one slot two weeks ago.

"This is by far the coolest thing that's happened to us," Tedder told The Official Charts Company. "I've had a number of number ones with other artists, but never one with this band.

"This is where I spend most of my time, these guys [guitarists Zach Filkins and Drew Brown, bassist Brent Kutzle and drummer Eddie Fisher] are like my brothers and we've been everywhere and back. This is the highlight of the year!"

Miley Cyrus slips one from last week's top spot with 'Wrecking Ball', while Lawson enter at three with their fifth Top 10 hit 'Juliet'.

James Blunt climbs two places to four with his new single 'Bonfire Heart'. Eminem's new track 'Rap God' lands at five, giving him his second Top 5 hit in as many weeks.

Katy Perry climbs back one place to six with 'Roar', while Eminem falls five to seven with 'Berzerk'.

Wilkinson achieves his first Top 10 hit at eight with new single 'Afterglow', having previously worked with Chase & Status, Example and Professor Green.

Conor Maynard slips five to nine with 'R U Crazy', while Iggy Azalea lands at 10 with her latest single 'Change Your Life'.

Justin Bieber follows last week's Top 20 hit 'Heartbreaker' by entering at 20 with 'All That Matters'. Cher scores her first Top 40 hit in nearly 12 years, landing at 25 with 'I Hope You Find It'.

Don Broco make their Top 40 debut at 39 with 'You Wanna Know'.
