Tempah's debut single 'Pass Out' beat last week's number one Jason Derulo to take the crown.

Speaking on Radio 1, the 21-year-old said: "I'm out of breath! It feels like it's my birthday, my Christmas, my Easter, my christening all in one. This is mad."

Elsewhere in the chart, Cheryl Cole cracked the top ten with 'Parachute', while Boyzone entered the charts at number nine with 'Gave It All Away'. Wiley went straight in at number eight with 'Never Be Your Woman'.

However, the Sugababes fell out of the top ten, with 'Wear My Kiss' dropping seven places to number 14, while Helping Haiti's 'Everybody Hurts' moved down 17 places, finishing at number 26.

Owl City's 'Fireflies' and JLS's 'One Shot' also slipped, charting at number 11 and number 15 respectively. Meanwhile, Daisy Dares You failed to crack the top ten and entered the charts at number 13 with 'Number One Enemy'.
