Ellie Goulding has retained the number one spot for a second week with 'Burn'.

The singer scored her first UK number one last Sunday (August 18) with the track, taken from her upcoming special edition album Halycon Days, which is out tomorrow (August 26).

She told The Official Charts Company: "It means the world to me to be number one at the moment. It was always my dream to have a UK number one single, and it's been a long time coming! Thank you to everyone who bought 'Burn' and everyone who has supported me over the last three years."

Avicii's 'Wake Me Up' holds on to its number two position, while new entry 'Sonnentanz (Sun Don't Shine)' by Austrian duo Klangkarussell featuring Will Heard debuts at three.

DJ Fresh and Diplo's new single 'Earthquake' featuring Dominique Young Unique enters the chart at four and the Cedric Gervais remix of Lana Del Rey's 'Summertime Sadness' slips down one place to five.

Other new entries include Sean Paul's 'Other Side of Love'- the first cut from his upcoming sixth studio album - which debuts at seven and Naughty Boy's 'Lifted' featuring Emeli Sandé, which stands at number eight and is taken from his debut album Hotel Cabana.

Former X Factor winner Matt Cardle and Spice Girl Mel C's duet 'Loving You' enters the chart outside the Top 10 at number 14.
