Lady GaGa reclaims UK album top spot

Lady GaGa has returned to the top of the UK album charts with The Fame Monster.

The multi-platinum album first reached number one in April last year, when it reigned over the chart for four weeks. It has now spent 59 consecutive weeks in the albums chart, including 40 weeks in the top ten.

Elsewhere in the album chart, Marina and the Diamonds reached number five with her debut album The Family Jewels, while the Courteeners went straight in at number six with Falcon.

Another of Johnny Cash's posthumous releases, America 6 - Ain't No Grave, charted at number nine.

JLS returned to the top ten with their self-titled debut, climbing nine places to number eight, while Mumford & Sons's Sigh No More jumped eight places to number ten.

However, Owl City's Ocean Eyes fell ten places to number 17, Robbie Williams slipped to number 15 with Reality Killed The Video Star and Jay-Z dropped to number 14 with The Blueprint 3.
