Bands to play at Coventry parks through the summer

COVENTRY's Bands in the Park programme will start up again on June 2.

The free events take place in parks around the city on Sundays throughout the summer months.

This year’s programme will start on Sunday June 2 at War Memorial Park with a performance by the Coventry Festival Band.

On Sunday June 9 the West Midlands Jazzmen will play at Spencer Park with the Meridian Dance Orchestra performing at Allesley Hall on Sunday June 16.

The following week, June 23, Bedworth Wind Band will play at Longford Park with the Coventry Corps of Drums at Spencer Park on June 30.

Sessions take place from 1.30-3pm.
