Murray, who was formally charged earlier today, is being arraigned at Airport Court in Los Angeles. Bail is estimated to be set at $25,000 (£16,000).

According to People, the physician arrived at the courthouse to calls of "murderer" from onlookers. He was quickly handcuffed before being led into court.

Members of the Jackson family, including father Joe, mother Katherine, brother Jermaine and sister LaToya, are also present at the hearing.

The LA District Attorney earlier stated that Murray "did unlawfully, and without malice, kill Michael Joseph Jackson... in the commission of an unlawful act, not a felony; and in the commission of a lawful act which might have produced death, in an unlawful manner, and without due caution and circumspection".
