Echo & the Bunnymen front man Ian McCulloch is set for a triumphant return to Coventry on Saturday, September 22.
In a special one-off gig, McCulloch will play at the Kasbah on Primrose Hill Street in the city.
The date comes following the disappointment of the cancelled Godiva Festival, which he was due to headline.
He will be playing a unique acoustic set, to include classics from throughout his career and previously unheard Bunnymen material.
Tickets for the gig are priced at just £12, for returning students and local people, as a thank you for supporting the venue throughout the year. This is compared to the usual ticket price of £20-£25.
