Snoop Dogg cancels European tour

Plans to bring US rapper Snoop Dogg to Coventry have fallen through after he was forced to cancel his entire European tour.



Promoters at The Kasbah nightclub in Primrose Hill Street, Hillfields, had previously admitted they were in talks with the star to bring his forthcoming tour to Coventry in April.

There had even been discussions of taking the show to a bigger venue in the city in order to accommodate more fans.

The nightclub made the announcement on Twitter yesterday afternoon saying they still hoped of seeing the rapper play in the city one day.

A spokesman wrote: “Sorry people, Snoop has decided to cancel all his Europe tour dates! We hope to bring him to Cov soon.”

There has been no explanation or official statement from Snoop Dogg on why he has cancelled his tour.

I suspect his recent arrest for cannabis possession in the State of Texas has something to do with it? If convicted he faces up to 180 days in jail.
