Hazel O'Connor to launch new album in Leamington

Coventry pop legend Hazel O’Connor is launching her new album at the Assembly, in Leamington, next week.



I’ll Give You My Sunshine was conceived as Hazel sat with her terminally-ill mum at Coventry’s Myton Hospice earlier this year.

Hazel, who insists the album “isn’t maudlin”, will perform a selection of the new songs, along with some old favourites, at the Spencer Street club on Thursday, October 20, from 7pm.

Joining her on stage will be ex-Eurythmics keyboard player Sarah Fisher and former Communards saxophonist Clare Hirst. The gig is part of Hazel’s Bluja Tour.
