The former hit-making singer will be at the Belgrade Theatre on February 3 at 1.30pm, at the special request of producer Brian Walker.

“Vince last appeared for me on a show at Bedworth Civic Hall 10 years ago.

‘‘He now lives in Henley-on-Thames and when I contacted him, he said he would be delighted to have the chance of a return trip to his home city and to see his old house in Hen Lane.” Mr Walker added: “Vince is virtually retired now but does a bit for the Water Rats charity and accepts the occasional booking.

‘‘He still has hundreds of fans in Coventry, so we’re hoping for a full house.”

The bill also includes comedian Malcolm Stent and magician Saxon Tylney.

Tickets are £9.
