Satellite TV platform Freesat has today added commercial radio network Heart to its lineup of radio services.
Heart is among the most popular commercial networks in the UK, reaching nearly 8m people every week with shows presented by well-known personalities, such as Toby Anstis, Jason Donovan and Emma Bunton.
The music station is now available to Freesat's around 1.5 million customers at channel 733 on the platform's electronic programme guide (EPG).
"I'm extremely pleased to be adding Heart to the Freesat EPG. Heart is a great addition to our radio genre and means that our 1.5 million customers can now enjoy this hugely popular radio service right across the UK," said Mark Briggs, Freesat's head of channels.
"Research shows that listening to radio through television is increasingly significant. Freesat allows listeners to enjoy Heart in fantastic quality via their TV or home entertainment system."
Heart's group programme director Luis Clark added: "Bringing Heart to Freesat means that we are able to extend our reach even further across the UK, offering another platform for our audience to enjoy the brand. We're delighted that Freesat's million and a half customers around the UK will now be able to listen via Freesat's digital TV service."
