Glastonbury 2012 has been cancelled due to a lack of portable toilets.

Organisers made the decision due to the high demand for portable toilets in 2012 because of the London Olympics, reports The Guardian.

"I can see it getting very expensive," said festival founder Michael Eavis. "So we looked at the timing and thought that a year off seemed sensible."

The iconic festival traditionally takes a year off every five years to allow the land to recover as well as to give organisers time to plan ahead.

Tickets for Glastonbury 2011 have now sold out, with the lineup still to be revealed.
