It has been reported that the UK singles chart could see another anti-X Factor entrant challenge for this year's Christmas number one.
MTV claims that a 1952 track by American artist John Cage could be this year's answer to 2009 number one single 'Killing in the Name' by Rage Against the Machine, which defeated Joe McElderry's X Factor winner's song 'The Climb'.
'Song' in question '4'33"' - purely four minutes, thirty-three seconds of silence - has been adopted by Facebook group 'Cage Against the Machine'.
Last year the likes of Paul McCartney and Muse were among the near-one million supporters of 'Killing in the Name', which ended the longtime X Factor stranglehold on the festive chart slot.
However, 'Cage Against the Machine' has gathered a far more modest following thus far.
