Eminem's Recovery has topped the UK albums chart for the third consecutive week and fifth week in total.

The Love The Way You Lie rapper fought off competition from legendary Welsh crooner Tom Jones, who debuted in the runner-up spot on this week's chart with his first album in two years, Praise & Blame.

Another high-charting new entry was Avenged Sevenfold's Nightmare, which landed at five, the spot vacated by Eliza Doolittle as her self-titled album climbed one place to four.

The bottom half of the top 10 shows great contrast, as Professor Green's Alive Till I'm Dead plummets from two to seven in its second week, just a few positions ahead of Michael Bublé's Crazy Love, which leaps eleven places from 21 to ten.

Elsewhere in the top 20, despite an Irish number one and a performance in the Big Brother house, X Factor duo Jedward only manage a lacklustre debut at seventeen with Planet Jedward.

The top ten albums in full:
1. (1) Eminem: 'Recovery'
2. (-) Tom Jones: 'Praise & Blame'
3. (3) Plan B: 'The Defamation Of Strickland Banks'
4. (5) Eliza Doolittle: 'Eliza Doolittle'
5. (-) Avenged Sevenfold: 'Nightmare'
6. (6) Lady GaGa: 'The Fame Monster'
7. (2) Professor Green: 'Alive Till I'm Dead'
8. (4) Kylie Minogue: 'Aphrodite'
9. (7) Mumford & Sons: 'Sigh No More'
10. (21) Michael Bublé: 'Crazy Love'
