James Morrison has captured pole position on the UK albums chart for a second week with The Awakening.

The 'I Won't Let You Go' singer emerged victorious from a close battle with Surrey rock band You Me At Six, who settled for third place with their latest studio album Sinners Never Sleep after topping the mid-week chart update.

The new entries continue further down the listings, with country music stars Lady Antebellum landing at four with their third LP Own The Night and Every Kingdom, the debut album from Devon-born star Ben Howard, following at seven.

In between the debuts are Kasabian and Velociraptor!, which drops four places to six after three weeks on the chart. Tony Bennett, meanwhile, returns to the Top 10 after climbing to nine from last week's 15 with Duets II.

Nirvana's iconic Nevermind LP, which was repackaged for the 20th anniversary of its release last week, drops down six to 11, while Maroon 5 leap an astonishing 22 spots to 13 with their third studio album Hands All Over.

Former number one albums Playing In The Shadows by Example and Echoes by Will Young stumble seven and four respectively to 15 and 16, ending just ahead of a new entry from Katherine Jenkins entitled One Fine Day at 17.

Chart veterans Cee Lo Green and Jessie J boost up the tally eight and five places with The Ladykiller and Who You Are, this week's 18 and 19.

Finally, Back To Black by the late Amy Winehouse, which reappeared at the top of the chart following her death in July, rounds out the top 20 after falling six.
