KT Tunstall, Krystle Warren, Eliza Carthy, Howe Gelb and John Paul Jones were selected to join The Floating Palace. Hitchcock selected exceptional ‘roots’ artists, lit within by their passion for music, accompanying each other on songs known and new.

The concept is simple - musicians admire each other, are a little envious of each other, and given the chance, like to play with each other, but normally they only get the chance to do this in the studio, or after hours.

The Floating Palace is a unique opportunity to see these internationally renowned artists perform on stage together.

Regular Warwick Arts Centre audiences will recognise some of the artists - KT Tunstall and Eliza Carthy performed solo gigs last year, and Krystle Warren also returns to centre following her solo performance here and a previous collaboration with Robyn Hitchcock Way to Blue: The Songs of Nick Drake both back in 2010.

Gelb is an American singer-songwriter, musician and record producer based in Arizona and is no stranger to such a collaboration, having worked with a number of different artists whilst overseeing the rock band Giant Sand. S

Similarly, multi-instrumentalist John Paul Jones, has performed with Led Zeppelin, as a solo artist, and more recently with Josh Homme and Dave Grohl as part of Them Crooked Vultures where he plays the bass, piano and other instruments.
