A much-loved storybook character will be brought to life in a fun-filled show in Coventry. The Gruffalo will be stomping onto the stage for Christmas.

Organisers say the production will have original songs, monstrous fun and big laughs, as The Gruffalo comes to life with charming puppetry at Warwick Arts Centre. It will also be filled with a 'host of colourful characters.'

Children will be able to join 'Mouse' on a daring adventure through the deep, dark wood in a musical adaption of the much-loved storybook by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. Mouse will encounter the Fox, the Owl and the Snake.

Families will have the chance to see the hour-long show from Saturday, December 2 to Sunday, December 31. Hundreds have raved about the production with one describing it as 'irresistibly charming.'

The Gruffalo promises songs, laughs and scary fun for children aged three and up and their grown-ups making it the perfect treat for Christmas. Kids can also make a creature-inspired festive bauble or try on costumes at The Woodland at Warwick Arts Centre.

The Gruffalo was adapted for stage in 2001 and has since performed in 16 countries and five continents, including Europe, Asia and North America. Tall Stories has produced a number of other kids' shows, including The Snail and The Whale, Room on the Broom and The Smeds and The Smoos.

Tickets can be purchased here for The Gruffalo at Warwick Arts Centre.
