Jack Whitehall: Settle Down will come to the city next month

Comedian turned TV personality, writer and Hollywood actor Jack Whitehall has added a Coventry date to his upcoming UK tour of sizeable venues. Such was demand for tickets to his new show Jack Whitehall: Settle Down, the 34-year-old stand-up has added six new dates, including one at Warwick Arts Centre on August 14.

The Londoner, well-known for his appearances on various quiz shows including A League of Their Own and 8 out of 10 Cats as well as launched his UK tour in Cardiff last night (July 4). He said: "So far it’s been incredible playing to some of the best crowds I’ve ever performed in front of.

"There were a few places we weren’t able to slot in to the summer so really excited to be able to add some additional dates in the Autumn." The comedian will hope the new tour builds on the success of Jack Whitehall: Stood Up which sold out arenas worldwide and was the UK's largest comedy tour of 2019, with a ticketed audience over 450,000.

In terms of movies, Jack most recently starred alongside Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt in Disney’s Jungle Cruise and in Clifford The Big Red Dog for Paramount. Both films are currently in development for sequels.

He can currently be seen alongside Shailene Woodley in Robots, an independent romantic comedy directed by Academy Award nominee Ant Hines. Jack, who hosted the Brit Awards between 2018 and 2021, has just finished filming the second season of the Apple TV+ hit comedy series The Afterparty which will be released in 2023.

On television, Jack is widely celebrated for his popular Netflix show Travels With My Father, which released its fifth season last year. He has also starred in Good Omens opposite Jon Hamm and Michael Sheen for Amazon and Bounty Hunters opposite Rosie Perez for Sky Television.

His other TV credits include BBC's Decline & Fall, Fresh Meat on Channel 4 and Bad Education, which recently released its fourth series on which Jack worked as an executive producer. Tickets for the new tour dates, including shows in Leicester, Cardiff, Halifax, Bournemouth and Grimsby, go on general sale from 10am Friday at ticketmaster.co.uk/jackwhitehall
