Coventry comedy icon Guz Khan will return to his roots this week with a performance at the city's Belgrade Theatre. Khan is a rising star in television and film and he will grace the boards of his hometown theatre alongside comedy pals Richard Blackwood and Luisa Omielan.

The past few years has seen a meteoric rise for Khan thanks to his stand-up routines and hit show Man Like Mobeen, as well as appearances on popular panel shows and chat shows. He even took a crack at Hollywood in Judd Apatow directed The Bubble earlier this year.

But Khan will return to stand up in Cov this week performing Live at the Belgrade on Friday (June 10). The event is described on the Belgrade's website as "an uplifting night of laughter in Coventry".

The theatre's website continues: "This show is guaranteed to bring you bags of laughter. You will want to get your laughing muscles in shape before the big night!

"It’s a comedy night with a whole heap of hilarity – Live At The Belgrade brings you a memorable line-up of the UK’s hardest hitting acts from TV and the big screen. We also pride ourselves on championing comedians who appeal to comedy lovers of all backgrounds – so grab your tickets and head down an entertaining night!"

Khan will turn up at the Belgrade with Richard Blackwood on his arm, as well as fellow comedian Luisa Omielan. Blackwood gained fame in the late 1990s thanks to his popularity presenting shows such as MTV Select, Singled Out and his own The Richard Blackwood Show. He also had a short music career before turning to acting.

Luisa Omielan is best known for Live at the Apollo, Comedy Central Live, Miranda & What Would Beyoncé Do? Tickets are available now and can be purchased here.
