An alternative rock 'n' roll circus is coming to Coventry this month - but it's not for the faint-hearted.

The Circus of Horrors is putting on a 'fangtastic' rock show complete with amazing light effects and set and toe-curling stunts.

Their new show, named Psycho Ayslum, will stop off for one night only at Coventry's Belgrade Theatre on Tuesday, January 15.

It promises to take audiences deep into the heart of the Asylum where the most deadly and dangerous performers await.

Psycho Asylum will feature sword swallowers, demon dwarfs, strong men, a hair-culean woman who swings from her hair, acrobats, knife throwers, contortionists and lots more.

The troupe, who are described as combining horror and comedy with rock music, first performed at Glastonbury Festival in 1995 and has been touring shows ever since.

The Circus of Horrors also got through to the semi finals of Britain's Got Talent in 2011.

Their new show went on tour through Europe at the end of 2018 and continues its journey through venues in the UK this year.

According to the Circus of Horrors website the show is not suitable for children and does contain some nudity and bad language.

Anyone under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets start from £16.50 and can be bought here.
